In a land that is not dictated by men, women are free – free to be feminine, masculine, beautiful, ugly.

Instead of having to be soft (but not too fat), quiet (but not too boring), pure (but not too prudish), smart (but not more than men are) and most importantly beautiful (but definitely not aware of it) – they are free to be themselves or whoever they want.

A woman's land explores the topic of autonomy that women (don't) have over their bodies. The work is inspired by the riot grrrl movement of the 1990s.
