Being inspired by Ancient Greek Tales of tragic heroes, I celebrate women who are bound to be destined into their tragic fates through hamartia. In Greek, hamartia means no matter where you go, there you are. You cannot escape your personality. We are not in control of many things, yet we still have the right and ability to fight against our destined paths.

My concept is being explored through the elements of external, eternal, self and other which can be seen through the asymmetrical beauty of layering and cut outs.
