“The characters living in Derek Ridger’s photography in London from the late 70s to the end of the 80s inspired my collection. The recklessness and expression of at-titude through music, dance and fashion inspired the choice of materials and design concepts. The “outsider” vibe captured in work archived in the museum of youth culture by John Ingledew, Rebecca Lewis, Michelle Sank, and Chris Killip allowed me to appreciate and compre-hend the feeling of youth life in a period that I wish that I had lived through.”
