This piece arises from the deconstruction of the garment of an old woman, representing the process of growing or aging. An analogy is constructed of how physical limitations arise with age in our body, represented by a garment that restricts movement. Simultaneously, a piece that represents freedom was created. This was created from an abstraction of a contemporary dance position, which is intended to represent the movement and freedom of the body without any limitation. By joining these two pieces the tension between freedom and restriction becomes evident.
