Inspiration came from the description of human shipped mandrake in Mandrake Root Botanical Drawings. Mandrake is a narcotic and philter. The series makes use of mandrake and is named Late Bloomer to convey a deep fear, making threatening gestures while the heart being buried miles underground and waiting for its desire and thrust to be back.
