IMAGO

IMAGO

From the beginning of its life and to the very end, an insect goes through massive and plural changes. Evolving from egg to larvae then into cocoon until it eventually erupts into its final shape; imago.
Thea Dyring has explored these different stages and designed a collection with the goal of capturing the transformation through the use of textures, patterns, prints and 3D-shapes. By experimenting with the human female as an insect she wanted to create garments of commercial value as well as showpieces of lasting purpose.
