The “Super Charlie” collection is based on my experience of growing up in the concrete housing blocks of 1990s New Belgrade in socialist Yugoslavia. The brutalist architecture combined with the residues of war stands in contrast with a somewhat utopian serenity of the place. But regardless of their grim reputation, I’ve always found the blocks to be a source of inspiration, a space of freedom.
