Fragments is a collection of naturally dyed, handmade clothes and accessories made in North London. The collection is inspired by the smells, tastes and sights of lead designer, Janny Jingyi Ye’s, childhood. In Fragments, Janny’s memories of a childhood punctuated by aicao (mugwort), tea leaves and iron are blended with seventyfive’s ongoing dialogue with China’s aesthetic traditions. The natural dye processes developed for this collection are used on a number of seventyfive’s garments, including the Mandarin Collar Shirt, Cheongsam, Wrapped Skirt and Student Jacket.
