In the sets/accessories series I became interested in using the illustration of a particular type of setting or interior to hint at the type of character or personality which inhabited it.

The four interiors I chose to describe were not specific ones that I had seen but were ones in which I had strong associates about. I was, in essence, talking about taste and style – more specifically dated and tacky, designed and accumulated, clichéd and idiosyncratic.
