Slowing down and embracing curiosity, my collection explores the inconspicuous and eclectic beauty hidden in everyday environments from my home to charity shops and markets. Exploring the juxtaposing surfaces found in my photography, materiality and tactility became inherent to my embroidery practice, experimenting with contrasting colours and qualities such as the density and structural nature of leather to the transparent lightness of beads, jewellery, and sheer smocked surfaces.
