Today we live in a hypermodern society that is defined by constantly moving forward and developing through the progression of technology. Juxtaposing this against nature which is free and can develop at whatever pace it likes, I began to think what nature would be like if it was controlled by technology. Bio-engineers for example, are trying to develop plants that are bio-luminescent (produce their own light) and would provide a more sustainable source of energy for the future.
