Scars in general are seen as weak and fragile. Kept hidden from the world’s eyes not to be seen. Hidden by layers of clothing, kept as your own personal secret. Ashamed and afraid, fearing that people will look at you differently. By Exploring the world of fabric manipulation and going in to conversation with women around Europe who dared to talk about their scars it became possible to translate the fragile but powerful story between the scar and healing skin.
