Samuel Acebeys 5th collection was inspired by the expedition of Alexander von Humboldt to America and the botanical Illustrations that result from it.
The idea of the inner connection between nature and culture forms the main idea of von Humboldts work. This idea also is the core of Acebeys collection, since he combines his cultural heritage in form and aesthetics with the beautiful naturalistic, botanical drawings and creates an abstract interpretation using embroidery techniques to create bold and chunky 3D blossoms using a variety of sequins and crystals in vibrant colors.
