"The South" is inspired by my childhood in a small town in southern Italy. The trunks full of memories and postcards, all the things that made me dream. There is a lot of research behind the details. Each dress is like a journey, from a warm and romantic place, to a place as cold as marble, which brings home where there is warmth and intimacy. It is also a discovery: an old and lighter scar, I as a child drawing for hours, my mother, my family, an expectation, a disappointment and also love, passion, something that comes from within and that we can't to check.
