De foundation of Roaldité can be found in the movie Melancholia (Lars von Trier, 2005). This movie incorporates big contrasts, both in terms of storyline as in feel and atmosphere. A mysterious feeling is evoked by placing refined and feminine elements into an eerie context. A similar way of combining elements can be seen in the large sculptures created by Anish Kapoor and Contantin Brâncuși. By combining elements in this way, it can be hard to interpret the creations they present.
