The collection is called “Maazi”. ‘‘Maazi’ is a recollection of the memories of the past and nostalgia represented by paisley motifs which are changing and recreating the blurred paths. Post-COVID, we are encountering a ‘phygital’ reality, a combination of both physical and virtual platforms. I have tried to show it through glitch and metamorphosis of embroidery motifs like melting paisleys, pixelated motifs and those which change into barcodes. The fabric used is handwoven and handspun muslin cotton of West Bengal.
