My menswear collection “Blanche, Vénus émerge, et c’est la nuit” was sparked by an image that cought my attention. I thus set my sights on Kurdistan and became interested by the traditional costume worn by shepherds named “kepenek”. This piece of clothing made of felted wool inspired me by its very simple cut (a rectangle) and by its voluminous aspect. After having launched in this direction, I grew interested in the current outfits worn by modern day shepherds. Jacket, shirt, and traditional garment (the peshmerga) are the new wardrobe of the contemporary shepherds.
