Ascension continues designer Shirley Tang’s exploration of Futurism in a cyclical form, investigating the connective and circular nature of Ancient and Future. Approaching it as a meditative reconnection with her cultural background and the Ancient Chinese myths shaping her childhood, and a revisiting of the root intentions of the name of her label ORIENS, these forgotten tales and found “relics” are relearned in new perspective as pieces of “Future Archeology”, evolving as circular, at once of the past, of the future, of fleeting nowness.
