INSPIRATION:
From the Northeast's colonial heritage, from the Vintage Assam Bungalows to the Victorian architecture left behind by The British Raj is an estate built in 1935 now a posh guesthouse in Shillong. The interiors of this endearing piece of colonial architecture are immaculately appointed with period furniture and bric-a-brac, which exude the charm and warmth of a very living past. The atmosphere of this historic state evokes surreal dreams of the historic art and craft culture of days past, which I have represented in this collection.
