High-school life has always been depicted on screen as a melting pot of diverse personalities. The jock, the queen bee, the heartthrob, the class president, the exchange student are some of the characters that any stereotypical middle-school movie usually includes. These were cultural icons that we all have grown up watching and idolizing during our youth, and have become accustomed to. Neil Anthonie grew up with these personalities and took inspiration from them for his “Detention” collection.
