This collection is inspired by a picture called ‘A sad reveller’ published in Vanity fair by George Lepape.(1931). I was fascinated by the magical atmosphere, styles, characters, colours and shapes of this amazing picture which expresses sadness inside of revellers. It is not dissimilar to say; it reminded me of the harsh time of the coronavirus pandemic, the time we used to miss our relatives and loved ones. It is going away, but the effects of its hardships and challenges are still with us.
