Louro

Louro

This collection has as its starting point with the sculpture “Apollo and Daphne” by Gian Lorenzo Bernini. Legend has it that Apollo, punished by Cupid, saw his love denied by Daphne who preferred to be a tree than to be touched by Apollo, the most beautiful among the Gods. In the sculpture we can see the moment when Apollo touches Daphne and she transforms, her feet turn into roots and her hands turn into laurel wands, portrayed in this collection through long strips and more exaggerated volumes.
