Fall Winter 2019 marks an evolution in Jonathan Liang’s collections, paralleling the uprise of working women in the 1980s, of which FW19 draws heavily from. The women who inspired these collections were those who balanced two contrasting roles—one of a homemaker, and one as a career woman, albeit against the eyes and judgement of broader society.
