Initial inspiration came from the diner scene in Pulp Fiction. How the viewers perception of John Travolta's character 'Vincent Vega' changes after seeing him do 'the twist' with Uma Thurman's character 'Mia Wallace'. I wanted to create garments that combined masculine and feminine fabrics and styles to create a collection confusing and interesting to both feel and sight. To do this I used suedes and attached them to silks so movement and awkwardness appears in the garments.
