Before the mirror

Before the mirror

BEFORE THE MIRROR presents a surreal dandy story featuring self-expressed characters between fiction and reality. Deformed shapes and illusionistic silhouettes with masculine contours and corseted inner forms are part of this narrative, influenced by the artwork of surrealists René Magritte, Salvador Dali and Man Ray and the corseted torso of dandy Mr Pearl. The looks aim to modify the primarily male silhouette of a dandy’s wardrobe by adding sartorial elegance through voluminous shapes and ruffles representing femininity.
