SS 15

In J.Kim‘s new 2015 spring-summer collection a young designer Jenia Kim continues to investigate the interaction between Asian and European cultures, traditions and the present, hand labour and modern technologies. The national Korean suit hanbok which consists of a truncated jacket or a chogori blouse, and a long chima skirt, provided a starting point for the collection. The idea was to divide the suit into separate parts and then put everything back together again, having reinterpreted it using the contemporary vision.
