The 2016 spring-summer INSHADE collection has been inspired by Pina Bausch but

mostly by her play KONTAKTHOF. In terms of dramaturgy it is a logical continuation of the

previous one. Maria Smirnova is going on researching the emotional background.

In her last collection her heroine was coming onto barricades then in this one she seems to

be learning to accept the reality as it is but who are we to blame her. The choice of

inspiration is interesting too. In her previous collection it was Stepanova and Rodchenko
