A big inspiration for my collection has been the work of
Joseph Mills. With his pictures he creates a new reality.
He deconstructs and reassembles photo fragments into
haunting imagery. Mills’ invented images displace “reality”
with a “surreality” that originates in his mind, or
ours.
His method of work indicates the use of images from
vintage copies of Life magazine then photographs his
creations to establish photomontage. With the collages,
