43°17'49 is mainly inspired by my hometown Marseille, south of France. I wanted to create poetic garments, in which wind rushes like in sails. I have mixed influences from north african and mediterranean culture, caftans and tough fabrics with hand knitting, hand weaving techniques, and inspirations by the sea. Serigraphy, laser engraving, rough materials combined with boat sail, ropes, and lightness with fluid silk garments. An other view of my town, more sensitive and delicate than it appears at first sight.
