This collection is very close to home. We always try to induce playful elements to our traditional fabrics. One such endeavor led to creation of this collection. The inspiration was simple: our everyday tapestries. We wove the tapestry look on our cotton-silk kantha textiles. The result was bold colorful stripes woven with the intricate kantha technique on handlooms in a small village outside on Kolkata. The other development we played with are the uneven texturing and polka dots. While the textures create a rich feel, the polkas are a fun addition, woven on our simple handloom.
