Collection I is inspired by Japanese aesthetics and Raku pottery. In particular the understated colours of sumi inks and white Raku pottery glazes. Both of these colours have been explored throughout the collection in harmonious ways. Along side my solitary practice I have collaborated with skilled artisans. Incorporating unusual Japanese spun yarns, individually hand formed and fired pottery closures for my hand woven bags and hand forged hypoallergenic buckles for my hand woven silk necklaces.
