REWRITING

The process of revising and rewriting texts represents a mental and discursive task that entails reworking one's thoughts, starting from the eraser, in order to clarify and rephrase the text. This not only involves assessing and enhancing the writing but, more importantly, reshaping knowledge and constructing new ideas.

As defined by the RAE:

[1] tr. Rewriting what has already been written, incorporating changes.
[2] tr. Rewriting something, providing it with a fresh interpretation.
