The 2013 graduate collection is called 'Postcards from Blackpool'. It is a conceptual study of the real Blackpool via the medium of postcards. Vivid, neon Prom-colours were captured and applied to the unsung back streets. Knit-weave and cut-float techniques provided the foundation for sublimation printing and represented a connection to Lancashire's weaving heyday. The silhouette of the postcard was employed to communicate the urban images and offered an alternative interpretation of the meaning and use of postcards in a digitally saturated age.
