The Matadors of Abstraction is the A/W 2013 graduation collection of Boo Pala that focuses on James Rosenquist’s masterpiece F-111 by highlighting the painting, the artist’s history and Spanish historical and modern architecture (Enric Miralles) in relation to the current socioeconomic climate in Spain.The collection puts emphasis on the minimal and masculine whilst at the same time concentrating on the creation of vibrant colours and textures. Traditional screen printing techniques and digital textile technologies are highly explored throughout the collection process.
