‘Fillette’ (fr. Little girl) is a tribute to my childhood and a reflection on the act of growing up. My inspiration ranges from ballet dance to horses to decoration - all of which were major topics of fascination during my childhood.
The ballet influence brings both a sensual and a feminine taste to the collection. To me, ballet embodies perfection and lightness. My silhouettes and the relation of dressed and undressed are strongly influenced by these aesthetics. The massive use of tulle fabric is translating the movement of a dancer.
