My basic inspiration comes from the 7 traditional outfits for Thai women. Created by queen Sirikit and a small crew of designers and Tailors from Paris (including Pierre Balmain), during the early 60is. Queen Sirikit made it her biggest duty to restore the cultural assets that were mostly destroyed before her tenure. To her it was important to make Thailand significant again. While analysing these dresses to understand what makes them relevant, one thing appears to be of importance to me. It is the image of women.
