This collection was inspired by the work of M. A. Vrubel, his majolica and paintings. Vrubel’s fame began with his illustrations of Lermontov’s poem “The Demon”, which later became the main theme in his work. Vrubel’s paintings are deep and tragic, and I wanted to convey this drama. The colour and semantic contrasts convey the duality of the Demon being Fallen Angel and find balance in the final image.
