AVEN ROMALE

AVEN ROMALE

The collection named Aven Romale is inspired by the historical division of Roma into Roman Gypsies and Irish Travelers. Despite their different geographical locations, these peoples share common issues, particularly evident in their social position, way of life, education, and customs. The characteristic problems of the Roma community are depicted through linguistic terms in the form of prints. The volume represents the splendor of Roma weddings, while elements of cinching and emphasizing the silhouette symbolize resistance and resilience through centuries of migration.
