While a basilisk is traditionally hatched out of a chicken's egg and is part snake or lizard, the basilisks created for this collection call the undulating waters of the deep sea their home. Each one is part sea-dwelling and part land or air dwelling creature. At home in every world, each can however predominantly be found roaming the deep waters of the ocean posessing the powers of death in their breath and gaze.
