The collection is inspired by the film “Sing Street” and the relationship between adolescence and the hostile reality of Ireland in the 80s.
The same atmospheres of the film are evident in Rob Bremner’s photographs. In his book, “The Dash Between”, there are portraits of children and adolescents belonging to the 80s Liverpool woking class. From these images derive the oversize fit and the childish aspect of the collection. These elements are mixed with two-dimensional shapes inspired by the collages of the english artist Peter Clark.
