'Trapped in Blue' is based in the rights of women in countries where they are not valued and seen as voiceless within their communities. These women are often met with violence and are oppressed. Controversial garments covering the female body are, ultimately, a single layer of fabric which has the ability to separate and hide women from their surroundings. The collection aims to break away from enforced rules of dress, liberating the body. Bold patterns, inspired by the culture and history of Afghanistan has ben represented in the form of beading.
