Comfort. Quality. Style.

Clothes Horse was started in response to designer Bianca Jones' struggle with sizing. With the size 6 chest and 2 waist, finding a garment with an accurate fit was often impossible. Too tight, too loose, too short, too long. In december of 2012, Bianca drove to the fabric store, purchased some fabric, and constructed her first pair of pants. They sat exactly where they needed to- they fell exactly where they needed to- they fit exactly the way they needed to. Having never sewn a thing in her life, it seemed odd to start with arguably the most difficult clothing item to sew, but the bow front pants sewn in the basement of her house that evening were the spark to a now much larger flame.

Clothing should be wearable, fun, and ethically produced. If you can't wear it all the time, why invest in it? Bianca believe's strongly that garments should be constructed and designed in a way that allow the wearer to transition easily between day-evening, season-season, and generation-generation. Her designs are created using her own textiles- Bianca's hand is involved in every step of the design process. She is invested in the role of the craftsman, committed to the idea that garments should be made by hand. Bianca aims to someday provide other women with the skill of sewing and construction- creating a studio space here in the North East where each item is made to order by hand. She believes in zero waste construction- creating work to order, avoiding back stock and wasteful over production. Bianca's pieces are wearable art, constructed and sold to women who appreciate and believe in her design philosophy. She works with cottons and other environmentally friendly synthetic materials and vows to never use animal products in the production of her collections.
