I studied Fashion Design at the Savannah College of Art and Design with a special interest in luxury womenswear, evening wear and couture design. I take great interest on hand crafted elements in my work along with draping on the stand to develop beautiful silhouettes. In my work I strive to create garments that merge the fine art and fashion worlds together by sculpting fabric, to create visual pieces that can stand alone and crate a visual that ones eye can get lost in.

Reverie

"Reverie" is the title of my senior collection that I spent a year developing and bringing to life. My collection is titled Reverie which is the state of being pleasantly lost in one's thoughts or in other words; a daydream. This collection is about a spiritual awakening to a place where one is free to “fly away” and be who they want to be. I want this collection to embody the feeling of escapism to an ethereal and calming environment that envelopes all of one's worries and fears of the unknown. I used a beige/ ivory color palette to push the calming feeling of the collection with soft hints of pastels in the embellishments to push the feminine aspect. A great part of my inspiration came from the overly demanding and masuline corporate world that many 9 to 5 workers deal with on a day to day basis. Due to this I took a lot of inspiration from the tailoring in workwear and merging it with draping of lighter weight fabrics and organic shapes. I want this collection to make the wearer feel sophisticated yet free, professional yet feminine and overall free to express themselves.
