Born in Madagascar, Jenny Randria, founder of Citron Jaune grew up with a tailor grandfather and an embroiderer grandmother and traditional weaver maker. The clatter of the sewing machine and fabric drapes has always fascinated her from an early age. The finesse of Malagasy handcrafted embroidery, and her hand-smocked little girl's dresses made a strong impression on her. It was only natural that she decided to work in fashion and dreamed to create a brand based on what she saw as a child.

As a fashion designer and entrepreneur, she always felt connected with artisans and textile workers thanks to her own background. Ethical and sustainable responsibility are playing a big role in the way she run her company. After traveling the world and witnessing the social and environmental challenges in the textile world, she decides to start her adventure in Madagascar by opening a workshop in the heart of the capital, Antananarivo.

This setting allow her to have a total control over the production quality and the environmental impact of its activity. Citron Jaune works as a fashion house that highlights the Malagasy artisanal heritage and is a circular economy advocate.

Long years in Paris, influenced the designer, and the style is a mix of the two cultures.

After 4 collections only dedicated for children,  this year Citron Jaune took  a new direction and release its first collection for women. The brand will concentrate on women and besides will offer smaller lines for girl and baby girl. Pieces that are effortlessly feminine, versatile, and made to last.
