CINDY LEPER

CINDY LEPER is an independent jewelry brand runned by Isabella Rosa. It’s focused on handmade one-of-a-kind and limited edition pieces.
Isabella works and lives in Bologna, Italy. She took a degree in Fine Art in 2004, then graduated in Anthropology in 2009.
A self taught designer and crafter, her journey into jewelry making started in 2012.
During her studies Isabella became more and more fascinated by symbolic and ritual meanings of adornment. She likes playing with the opposites and sincretism: primitive/contemporary, natural/artificial, folk/pop.
Simple and clean geometries, black and white, dark fine wood essences, industrial and organic materials are the main components of her work.
Inspiration and research for product making include: nature, ethnography, dark fashion, architecture, cultural studies, folk studies, underground culture.
All the materials she uses must reach top quality standards to be used and transformed. The wood essences she gathers are reclaimed or come from FSC sustainable market. All bones are found in the woods or at least bought from a trusted source, and professionally cleaned.
CINDY LEPER is an individual project, supported by the unvaluable knowledge of Isabella's father Andrea Rosa, carpenter and cabinet-maker.
