The Chaos was established in 2023 in Hong Kong. We are going to embrace nature’s imperfection and celebrate the beauty of nature by recuing and upcycling fashion waste. We create products and clothing to promote natural and regenerated fiber, in order to preserve biodiversity. We design for Recyclability, Longevity, Low Waste, Low-impact Materials and process.

OVER THE MIDNIGHT OF DOOMSDAY CLOCK

The story behind the theme is the earth will be surrounded by the tsunami trash during doomsday.The waste will become modern fossil after many years later and become sedimentary rock. The rubbish is indecomposable even take over thousands years. The collection is trying to develop the style for the post-apocalyptic survivors.

The plastic and electronic waste have been chosen to present the image of modern fossil. To extend the “life” of waste, plastic bottle and e-waste will be regenerated into the unique and beautiful beadings and sequins. Zero-waste and upcycling technique will also be applied, in order to connect with the purpose of sustainability.

The ideas of reconstructing secondhand clothes are inspired by the concept of the wave of waste. During doomsday, people will use the waste around them to create their fashion items. Keeping the traces of secondhand clothing in the new designs, it presents the faults in cracks, tears and beauty of imperfections. Zero-waste, upcycling and reconstruction technique will also be applied, in order to connect with the purpose of sustainability.
