It is also handmade by our fair trade artisan with strict attention to eco-friendly practice. And lastly, our business model is designed to be eco-friendly too. By embracing slow fashion and commiting to plant 1 tree for each pairs sold. We believe it is the Greenest shoes ever.

Modern Heritage

The Inspiration behind our Capsule Collection is to create a timeless yet modern design. To achieve that, we start with iconic traditional design and from there, we start tinkering with every design elements to arrive at what we call Modern Heritage. The aesthetic in this collection are very distinct and fresh, yet anyone who see
it can’t help but feel familliar with the design. It is the result of painstaking improvement or in some case, substraction of unneeded components. Every parts have been carefully though of to achieve sophisticated looks that is as memorable as it is minimalist. One of the main consideration is to make sure that the iconic vibe is still left intact, because without it, the design will not be much as an heritage and just a random, senseless design. That’s why in some cases you can clearly see the original inspiration behind it. We draw inspiration from Germany Army trainer shoes, also from US iconic skater community, and much more.
One major theme in this season’s collection is Unisex. With this theme, we wanted to explore the relationship between men and women and bridging the cultural differences between gender. We want to focus on design that appeal to both sexes. In doing so, every design element have to balance the aspect of masculinity-feminimity and this reflect heavily on the general shape of cut pattern. Each pattern have been made with specific and intentional degree of curviness to achieve singular purpose. This season capsule collection features 3 design, Ceremonial, Liam Prince and Arena yet it can be easily seen that all three are based on consistent design principles. We derived our inspiration (once more) from how architectural heritage of ages past have their own unique characteristics.
The choice on sneaker for this collection is because we want an outlet where architectural aspect can be applied. This is only possible in sneaker where complex and streamlined structure can be made. The modern heritage is our interpretation on the future of shoes by looking at reflection of past design. This is not an
avant-garde that means to raise a few eyebrows and then stored unused. This is a design that is simply usable and well-intentioned.
