Captve

Captve is a sculptural jewellery brand based in Montreal, Canada. We create annual collections that intertwine our passion for art and the anomalies of nature. Each piece starts from a solid block of wax and is then meticulously hand carved into various forms before being cast in precious metals. All production and materials are sourced locally here in Montreal.

The name Captve was chosen to echo our process and passions, as it stems from a series of sculptures carved by Michelangelo. These sculptures depict human figures emerging from solid blocks of marble in an unfinished state, and remind us the value of an artist's process.

Here at Captve we unearth classic relics and create visual worlds for the collector that wishes to adorn their body in precious forms.
