Devon Stonebrook was introduced to digital fabrication during her architecture studies at the University of Michigan. Devon’s studio projects were always inspired by, and at times directly incorporated, fashion. After graduating from U of M, she moved to Austin, Texas and began working for a laser cutting studio where she further developed her ability to digitally fabricate products. Motivated by a desire to produce fashion, Devon utilized the rigor and technology learned through her architecture education to design inventive apparel and accessories. Far from ordinary, she designs bags through an exploration of form, material, and structure in search of a highly calibrated object with a maximal aesthetic. Devon currently operates her CALmax line at a studio in East Austin where she designs, assembles, and showcases her laser cut accessories. To view more, please visit calmaxfashion.com.
