Aza's Collection "Calle Del Mar" is based on her California upbringing and childhood style. With influence from athletic uniforms. 1960's embellishments and vintage surf/skate culture the Calle Del Mar line redefines the Tom Boy. The Calle Del Mar girl is unavoidably adventurous, fanciful, fearless and undeniably effortless. She believes that a party dress always looks best with a couple of skinned knees and sneakers. As a textile based designer and through her latest collection Aza created prints by building textiles from within and on the surface. She explored this through a number of mediums--embroidery, embellishment, laser cutting her own plexi glass sequins and encasing tinsel & sequins between organza.
Although greatly inspired by her roots out west, Aza does not fail to transition from west to east and everywhere in between. Zeum Magazine just named her “one to watch.”
